Product Description

The corrosion resistance of stainless steel seamless pipe depends on the alloy elements contained in the steel. Chromium is the basic element to obtain corrosion resistance of stainless steel. When the chromium content in the steel reaches about 12%, a thin oxide film (self passivation film) is formed on the surface of the steel due to the interaction between chromium and oxygen in the corrosive medium, which can prevent further corrosion of the steel substrate. In addition to chromium, nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, copper, nitrogen and other alloying elements are commonly used in stainless steel seamless pipe to meet the requirements of various uses for stainless steel structure and properties.
